If anyone is still working on late treats, you can of course continue to post them even now that the collection is open. :)

The deadline is in a week, on Friday, May 28th at 11.59 pm UTC. Please make sure to post your assignment to the collection by then, or contact me if you need an extension. If you won't be able to finish your assignment at all, please default sooner rather than later so I can find a pinch-hitter.

I know we've never managed our little community challenge in the past, but maybe this is our year! Maybe all those new movies inspired us! The idea is to create twice as many gifts in the collection as there are participants, i.e. 36 fanworks in total! This is of course a completely optional part of the exchange! But if you feel like writing or drawing a treat for anyone - whether you want to create several gifts for your recipient or create something for someone else - go for it! You don't have to be signed up to the exchange to treat.

Treats do not have to meet the minimum requirements for your assignment, i.e. they can be shorter than 2000 words and art can be a sketch/lineart. They do have to respect the recipient's DNWs.

If your letter is still a placeholder, please finish it as soon as possible so your creator can get started.

• All nominations should go under the fandom "DC Extended Universe", not the individual movies.
• Nominations can be either characters (e.g. character: Bruce Wayne) or relationships (e.g. relationship: Bruce Wayne & Clark Kent or relationship: Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent). & relationships are platonic, / relationships are sexual and/or romantic. Both character and relationship nominations go in the "character" field. In the "fandom?" field, add "DC Extended Universe".
• Relationships including more than two people are eligible.
• Crossover relationships are allowed, but characters from other canons cannot be nominated on their own (i.e. you can nominate relationship: Bruce Wayne/Tony Stark (MCU), but not character: Tony Stark (MCU)). Put the DCEU character first, and include the canon the other character is from in your nomination.
• DC characters who have not (yet) appeared in the DCEU are eligible (e.g. Dick Grayson, Selina Kyle). However, fic/art about them should involve them with the DCEU (e.g. a fic about Dick reacting to the events in Batman v Superman or reconnecting with DCEU!Bruce would be fine, but a fic about Dick solving a case on his own with no relation to the DCEU would not be appropriate for this exchange).
• Everyone can nominate up to 6 characters/relationships.
• You can edit/delete nominations as long as they haven't been approved yet.

We might organise some movie rewatches, and you can also simply chat to other participants, get some cheerleading and encouragement while working on your assignment later, talk about which pairings/characters you want to nominate etc.

Three basic rules:

1) Don't talk about your assignment in the public Discord as assignments are meant to be secret. (Okay: "I had a really cool idea for my assignment!" Not Okay: "I'm writing this specific pairing only one person requested.")
2) Don't be an asshole. That includes character-bashing, ship wars, kink shaming, insulting other participants etc. Chances are some participants in this exchange will be into pairings or kinks or other things you don't like. Chances are they will talk about those things in the Discord. If you can't handle that, the Discord is not the right place for you. 
3) Be 18+ or don't advertise it if you're not. 

Authors/artists have now been revealed. If you haven't commented on your gift yet, please try to do so as soon as possible. I've already seen lots of great comments on the exchange fics and artwork! Let's keep that up, if you're still making your way to the collection. :D

I also want to point out that several treats have been posted to the collection since reveals last week, so be sure to check those out as well if you haven't yet. I'm leaving the collection open as usual - if anyone is finishing more treats, feel free to add them to it.

I hope everyone had fun participating and liked their gift. If anyone has suggestions for future rounds, let me know. And other than that I'm looking forward to doing this all over again next summer. :D
